Do I have to be using Crusader to be an affiliate?
Yes. We send you a free Hunter Pro license when you're approved. Use the product on a real hunt before recommending it. If you don't think it fits your audience, don't promote it — there's no penalty, and we respect the call.
How long does the commission keep paying?
You earn your tier's rate (up to 40%) on every renewal for 12 months from each referred subscription — so a monthly customer pays you twelve times, an annual customer once at full value. After 12 months that referral's commission ends. No clawback on what you've already been paid.
What if my audience overlaps with Caido's, Burp's, or another tool?
That's fine. You can recommend other tools in your content — most creators do. We don't ask for exclusivity. Recommend Crusader when it's the right fit (mobile, agent workflows, identity-aware testing, team mode); recommend something else when it isn't.
Can I bid on the Crusader trademark in Google Ads?
No. Bidding on our brand keywords (Crusader, Crusader proxy, etc.) cannibalizes our own paid search and is grounds for removing you from the program. Bidding on competitor keywords or your own brand is fine.
What does the FTC disclosure look like?
Anything that makes the affiliate relationship clear to your audience. Examples: "Disclosure: I get a commission if you subscribe via this link" in show notes, "#affiliate" in a tweet, a banner in YouTube descriptions. Specific language doesn't matter — disclosure has to be conspicuous. We'll send you a one-page guide on approval.
How fast do you approve applications?
Standard partners are usually approved within a day or two. Founding-creator slots (the 40% rate) are reviewed by hand — we look at whether your audience is plausibly interested in a security tool, whether your content isn't spam, and whether anything public would make us regret associating Crusader with you. If those pass, you're in.
What if I'm running a security training course and want to bundle Crusader?
Bundle deals are separate from the public affiliate program. Email partnerships@crusaderproxy.com with what you're thinking — we'll work out terms.
What if a customer churns mid-year?
Your past payouts stand. Future renewals from that customer stop paying you. We don't claw back commission on customers who cancel after the refund window.
